Do I need a license to start a business in the Township?
The Code of Ordinances under Businesses, Article I, Sec. 10-5 states "no person may commence or continue a business within the Township without having first obtained a Township Business License."  Please contact the Clerk's Office at 777-2555 Ext. 1138 to obtain an application or click here to download the form.

How much does a business license cost?
The application is $50.00.

Is there an annual fee to operate a business?
Yes, the renewal fee is $50.00 per year, due on May 1.

What qualifications are needed to register to vote?
To register to vote in Michigan you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age by Election Day and a resident of Michigan and the City or Township where you are applying to register to vote.

Where do I register to vote?
You may register to vote by mail or at your local Township, City or County Clerk's Office or by visiting any Secretary of State Branch Office.  In addition, you may register to vote at the Family Independence Agency, Department of Community Health or the Department of Career Development.  Also, many Michigan High Schools and Military Recruitment Centers have the necessary forms.  You can also download a form from the Secretary of State's Web site by clicking here.

Are there restrictions if I register to vote by mail?
If you register to vote by mail, you must vote in person at your assigned precinct the first time you vote unless you are disabled as defined by state law, 60 years of age or older or temporarily residing overseas.

After I register, can I vote right away?
You must register to vote at least 30 days before an election to be able to vote in that election.
